What you’ll do
Based at Frenchs Forest, you will be responsible for providing support for applications, ancillary software and hardware, and other new technology initiatives as they emerge for Media and Broadcast to ensure the highest level of systems reliability and availability.
Reporting to the Broadcast Services Manager, you will provide onsite support between the hours of 7am – 5pm Monday to Sunday.
You will provide strong technical level 1 and 2 support and will work closely with other teams In Media and Wagering to ensure correct internal and external procedures are followed.
What you’ll do
- Ensure continued operation of the Media and Broadcast platforms through the provision of Level 1 & 2 support during agreed support periods.
- Manage and resolve incidents at a functional or configuration level.
- Where significant impacting incidents are unresolved, escalate to the Technical Lead Engineer and/or Team Lead.
- Ensure that service and system support requests are actioned in accordance with agreed Service Level commitments and business priorities.
- Ensure successful implementation of software releases by verifying production operability
- Act as a central point of contact regarding application-specific issues for all users via relevant helpdesks (DCO, Granville, and SSC).
- Ensure Technology good practice methodologies are applied including impact assessment, risk and issue management, funding, change management and business readiness
What you’ll bring
- Information Technology, or Computer Science, or equivalent qualification
- Experience in technology and technical support role supporting critical and complex platforms in a large scale and complex environment
- Experience desirable working with AWS or other cloud-based infrastructure providers
- Experience desirable with administering Linux platforms
- Demonstrated knowledge of network protocols
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot incidents
- Eagerness to learn and expand your knowledge in an ever-changing environment
- Interest in AWS cloud environment, Monitoring & alerting tools
- Can do attitude towards problem solving
You may have 1-2 years’ experience in a helpdesk role, and you are seeking a career in IT.
