About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a forward-thinking Operations Assistant to join our PGH Bricks & Pavers team at Schofields. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will act a support in all technical areas of the brick making operation and ensure that factory achieves operational excellence to meet the business growth & qualitative strategies.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Review and keep up-to-date the site Notice Board and Chemical Register.
- Coordinate the completion of chemical risk assessments with relevant managers.
- Monitor the document control register and coordinate the review of system documentation with document owners.
- Update revised documentation returned and keep records of revision.
- Review and keep up-to-date the sites skills matrix.
- Monitor the skills matrix and arrange training with external providers as requested by managers.
- Enter and update hazards on the national hazard log in consultaion with relevant managers.
- Upload WHSE system documentation to SharePoint.
- Maintain a list of approved suppliers.
- Coordinate health surveillance activities according to the schedule.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- SAP experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Strong PC literacy skills (Microsoft Office).
