Job Description

The Role:

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be accountable for the creation and maintenance of a master schedule and resource plan to support MTA’s project delivery aligned to defined project lifecycles. As part of your role, you will play an integral role delivering accurate and detailed project schedules and reports to both internal and external stakeholders.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Create and maintain a master schedule and resource plan (including financial parameters where required) to support MTA’s project delivery and Project Managers.
  • Establish sequence and lead time of each activity to align with client forecasted master schedules across a range of identified MTA projects.
  • Assist, review and critique the logic, sequence and durations of all related schedules whilst supporting the project team and identifying opportunities for improvement and managing delays.
  • Interface with and update an internal database repository on a “swivel-chair”” basis where required.
  • Liaise and collaborate with MTA ITC to develop automated tools to eliminate “swivel-chair” activity where possible.
  • In conjunction with the Project Manager develop relevant dashboard and KPI metrics to meet management reporting requirements.
  • Development of the baseline schedule.
  • Analysis of trends and timely escalation of issues.
  • Ongoing monitoring and management of each project’s critical path.
  • Analysing forward schedules for potential problems or delays.
  • Recommending work around plans, such as workforce acceleration, extended work week or multiple shifts to keep the project on track.
  • Provide adequate reporting for internal and external clients.
  • Working in conjunction with the Project Manager to develop, maintain and ensure execution of the overall project schedule and resource plan.
  • Communicating effectively with all stakeholders, both internal and external, to produce required outcomes.
  • Actively seek improvement opportunities to increase margin, client satisfaction and MTA’s overall company standing.
  • Openly promoting a culture of excellence.
Desired Skills and Experience

You:
To secure an interview for this great local opportunity, it is desirable you can meet the following:

  • Scheduling and resource planning experience preferably within the energy or construction industry.
  • Experience providing scheduling support across multiple concurrent projects / programs.
  • Demonstrated initiative, capacity to solve problems and make decisions to achieve defined objectives.
  • Diploma or Certificate in Project Management/Administration
  • Relevant Industry Accreditation
