This position involves night shifts. Please apply if you are only interested in the straight night, evening/night, or day/night positions. Night shifts are from 11:00pm-7:30am. Regions Hospital provides full benefits starting at working 20 hours per week!

Responsibilities:

This position performs activities of daily living (ADLs) on a daily basis, provides patient care treatments including discontinuing IV's and restraint monitoring, and collects patient data including vital signs, weights, intake & output. This position also collects routine patient specimens such as urine, stool, and finger stick blood glucose as directed. Patient Care Assistants respond to call lights and requests, and assist nurses with procedures as requested. This position also documents and charts care provided in the electronic health record.

Qualifications:

CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers required.

AND one of the following:

Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) training program required, certification preferred (must have occurred in the last 5 years);

OR

Experience in an acute care setting as a Nursing Assistant (minimum 520 hours; must have occurred in the last 5 years)

OR

Completion of one clinical rotation in a RN or LPN program within the past 12 months

OR

Experience as an Emergency Room Technician (6 months at a minimum of 40 hours per two-week pay period)

Hiring for night shift openings- variety of hours from 40 to 64 hours per two-week pay period. Some split shifts (day/night, evening/night) are available.
