Patient Transport Officer Fixed Term and Casual Employment Register

Salary:

$59,694 to $63,154 pro rata, per annum.

• Fixed term full-time and part-time shift work
• Fixed term casual (as and when required)

Location:

Ambulance Tasmania - Statewide

Duties:

Working as a member of the Ambulance Tasmania, Health Transport Services team, Patient Transport Officers provide transport of low acuity, medically stable patients requiring a basic level of care and observation for patients travelling to, from or between Department of Health and Tasmania Health Service facilities.

Essential Requirements:

• Current Driver's Licence.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:

• a) crimes of violence
• b) sex related offences
• c) serious drug offences
• d) crimes involving dishonesty
• e) serious traffic offences

2. Identification check

3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
