Barr-Nunn Transportation a premier truck load carrier in business for 40 years, is currently seeking an Driver Payroll Assistant to work in our Granger terminal office. We offer a competitive wage, plus a quarterly paid bonus that allows you to earn an additional minimum of $3.00 per hour that you work during your first 3 full quarters of employment. Our actual average bonus per hour based on our prior 5 year history was $5.25 per hour worked.

Full-time (Monday thru Friday 8AM - 4:30PM)

Main Job Responsibilities

• Process driver payroll
• Respond to driver questions concerning pay
• Process, reconcile and pay withholding tax
• Process driver terminations
• Maintain employee records
• Update system for new pay rates
• Reconcile health & dental invoices to payroll deductions
• Assist with monthly & quarterly workpapers
• Additional payroll, accounting, or HR duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• 1-2 years office experience (Preferred); Will train

Skills and Personal Characteristics

• Strong attention to detail
• Excel spreadsheet skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Telephone/communication skills - customer service oriented
• Able to work under time pressure and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
