AMCS is growing! An increase in client numbers through our Home Care Package (HCP) Program means that we are looking to appoint Personal Care Workers to join our team.

About Us

Australian Multicultural Community Services (AMCS) is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1983. Our in-home aged care services support seniors to live safely in their own homes, live independently and be connected with their communities.

About the Role

As a Personal Care Worker you will be supporting our senior clients with a range of duties including:

• Assisting with domestic tasks including, laundry, ironing, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, linen changes, bath, toilet and shower cleaning
• Personal care, showering, dressing, using the toilet
• Assistance with shopping, transport to medical appointments, monitoring safety, managing medication prompts and transfers
• Companionship support
• Reporting on client conditions as required

This role reports to our Senior Support Worker Officer and is supported with a buddy shift to make sure you are feeling comfortable and confident in your new role with AMCS.

• North: Hume City Council, Whittlesea City Council incl. Roxburgh Park, Dallas and Mill Park
• South East: City of Greater Dandenong, Maroondah City Council incl. Dandenong and Ringwood
• West: Brimbank City Council, Wyndham City Council incl. St Albans, Taylors Lake, Hoppers Crossing and Werribee
• Geelong area

About You

Qualifications:

• Completed or undertaking Cert III or IV - Individual Support, Aged Care, Home Care or Disability.
• First Aid / CPR Certificates (AMCS can provide these if required)

Requirements:

• Victorian Driver's License, reliable car, minimum third party insurance
• COVID-19 Vaccinations (first & second dose) or valid medical exemption
• Consent for standard police check (paid for and organised by AMCS)
• Working rights within Australia
