About the role

The role of the Level 1/ 2 Physiotherapist is to work within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure a high standard of Physiotherapy service is provided to patients of the Hospital, along with appropriate support and advice to their carers. T

he Physiotherapist will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a patient centred, evidence based, continuous quality improvement work environment that is consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare and the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

The essence of this role

• Provision of effective and efficient Physiotherapy service to clients and appropriate support and advice to their carers
• Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in assessing patients’ level of functional mobility and care needs, setting care goals and providing appropriate treatment.
• Participate as a member of the HammondCare team in the application of the organisation’s Mission and values to the pursuit of its objectives in a client centred, continuous quality improvement work environment

About you

• Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
• A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
• Experience in providing Physiotherapy Services in Rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
• Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Empathy and patience.

Desirable

• Experience in Hydrotherapy
• An understanding of Work Health and Safety policies and procedures
