About the role
The engine room of our business, our Central Operations team keeps us moving and delivering our services to all Australians. We empower and support our retail teams across the country, helping them deliver great experiences for our customers every single day.
In partnership with Ocado we are in the process of delivering a brand new state-of-the-art customer fulfilment centre in NSW. Harnessing the latest technology this site will offer a wider range to our customers and safter, cleaner environment for our staff. As this site ramps up we have an opportunity for an experienced Planning and Resource Manager to join the team
What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for the development of resource planning processes, working closely with leaders across our brand-new customer fulfilment centre to collaborate on best practice process for the site
You'll also
- lead resource planning processes for the new site, collaborating with central management and onsite teams to deliver effective process
- manage 3PL relationship to ensure resource needs are met and ongoing service delivery
- Maintain the resource planning system as a business super user. Ensure that the system accurately reflects all labour tasks and rates to meet business requirements. Plan and manage a rigorous process for budget & quarterly changes to system.
- drive a customer focused culture across all departments of the operation ensuring Coles Online customers receive ‘the perfect order’ each time.
- be a champion for safety and lead an operational safety-first culture
Good things you’ll need
We’re looking for an experienced inventory leader who has had exposure to an automated DC, with a passion for developing processes and growing a continuous improvement culture
you’ll also need
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
- extensive experience in labour scheduling and resource planning
- Strong background in large, single-site operations that have a large workforce.
- Proven commercial acumen is essential.
- Able to lead a team of technical resources, and a large volume of cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to identify & drive continuous Improvement initiatives.
