Job Title: Plant Manager
Report to: Sr. Vice President of Operations
Job Summary: Direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, and other production related functions. Provides leadership for plant operation employees in a compassionate and caring way. Leads strategy deployment for the Plant initiatives and growth. Accountable for driving Lean initiatives throughout the Plant to ensure they are fully embraced and implemented. Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development.

Leadership-Provide active day-to-day leadership for a highly energized, integrated, cross-functional manufacturing team.
- Drive a positive culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management
- Lead and promote work team(s) that react aggressively to Plant inefficiencies. Drive problem-solving and root cause identification of problems for the entire Plant
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives
- Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisors and managers ensuring they are leading in a positive way and leading by example to plant employees
- Implement and oversee performance management processes
- Demonstrate understanding of Union Contract when decisions are made
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards
- Ensure discipline in the organization to follow standard work
- Lead the plant daily accountability process
- Establishes and maintains premier customer service at all times for both internal and external customers
- Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary
Safety-Ensure Safety is first
- Ensure all plant employees understand the importance of safety and promote a strong safety-minded culture in the Plant
- Ensure all safety training is effective and current
- Management of behavioral based programs which drive a safety culture and reduce risk
- Enforce compliance to safety rules and procedures, timely accident investigations, Safety Contacts and Safe Start participation.
- Lead regular meetings to review department issues. Prioritize and assign ownership for open items. Track items to closure and ensure follow-up with key stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or fifteen years’ plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Significant plant management experience in a multifaceted environment
- Demonstrated track record of high performing plant leadership, fostering an environment of teamwork and common goals and developing and mentoring manufacturing staff. Demonstrated ability as a positive change agent
- Process thinking mentality
- Strong understanding of Extrusion, Anodizing, Fabrication, Polishing, Paint, and Quality Assurance
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and managers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
