Team Leader Construction (Plumber / Drainer)

• Permanent Full Time
• Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
• LGIA Stream C Building and Trades Level 2-3 + Site + Tool + Leading Hand Allowance 3 - $75,669 - $77,774 (Minimum rate depending on qualifications and experience)
• Potential earning capacity in the vicinity of $85,000 per annum (Dependant on applicable penalty rates, over time and allowances)
• Location – Rockhampton

Your new role

Fitzroy River Water is currently recruiting for an experienced and Trade qualified Plumber to join the Rockhampton team as Team Leader Construction.

You will be responsible for directing, motivating and leading a multi-disciplined team which are required to carry out a wide range of construction activities associated with Council’s water, waste water and irrigation assets.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

• Trade qualifications to operate as a registered Licensed Plumber and Drainer in Queensland.
• Possess and maintain a Backflow Prevention endorsement from the Master Plumbers Association of Queensland.
• Applicants who are licenced and experience in plant operations, particularly an excavator and hold a Working at Heights and Confined Space qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply.

Application Criteria

• Trade Qualifications to operate as a Licenced Plumber and Drainer in QLD and experience in the construction, installation and refurbishment of new and existing water and waste water reticulation infrastructure.
• Knowledge of the requirements of AS 3500 – National Plumbing & Drainage Code and Plumbing & Drainage Act 2002 and experience completing manual tasks within the water and wastewater industry using associated tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to lead, motivate and supervise a team.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to exercise good interpersonal skills dealing with all key stakeholders in a positive manner.
