Our clinic in Newcastle is now seeking a Practice Principal to support our Psychologists and take us to the next level of community based service provision.

Based in our contemporary clinic in Charlestown, our Principal Psychologist will be the “face” of our practice and play a role in clinical supervision, as well as maintain a clinical case load of clients according to your areas of interest.

Key Points About the Role

• Provide advice to leadership team on clinical quality at the site
• Provide advice to leadership team on new clinical programs and services that could be added to the suite of services
• Lead and mentor the team of Registered and Clinical Psychologists providing clinical advice and support as needed
• Manage a clinical case load
• Impromptu supervision for complex cases
• Provide 1:1 and small group supervision sessions (face to face or zoom) to Psychologists across different sites

About You

• Ability to develop rapport and trust with Psychology Contractors who work independently
• Demonstrated ability to act as Clinical Consultant to Psychologists
• A Team player who works collaboratively with the Practice Manager and wider leadership team
• A strategic thinker who contributes to continuous improvement, helps identify issues and solutions that will benefit current and future Ramsay Psychology clinics

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of five years of clinical experience
• Registered with the Psychologists’ Board of Australia and endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist
• Masters Degree in Psychology (Clinical)
• Completion of Psychology Board approved supervisor training program with experience as a Clinical Supervisor
• Experience leading a team of Registered and or Clinical Psychologists highly regarded
