Pre-Procedure Coordinator Position

Maryland Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endo Center (MDTEC) is actively searching for full time Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Endoscopy Center team.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent. BLS certification a requirement. Medical Assistant Certification or LPN in state of Maryland;

EXPERIENCE: 2 year Medical Assistant or LPN experience required. Using electronic medical records and Cardiac and GI experience a plus.

LICENSE/CERT/REG: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant). BLS certification.

SKILLS: Must have ability to work in fast paced environment with changing priorities and frequent interruptions in a professional manner; ability to work with a variety of physician/staff needs while retaining a positive attitude; excellent customer service/ patient interaction skills; effective communication skills; personal computer skills; effective problem-solving skills.

Pre-op Assistant:

· Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm hours may change based on center needs

· Great flexibility required for this position

· Eagerly and respectfully assume news tasks and responsibilities delegated by administrator and charge nurse.

Major Responsibilities include:

· Obtain pre-procedure patient H&P for upcoming procedures

· Provide procedural preparation information for a variety colonoscopy preps and EGD preps

· Triage calls to staff

· Obtaining pre-op medical notes, clearance letters, labs, etc.

· Assist with running reports as directed

· Assume other front office / administrative assistant duties as needed
