The RMH Mental Health Nursing Workforce and Skills Development Unit Pre-Qualified Student Nurse (PQSRN) Positions
- Multi Site across RMH Mental Health Programs and affiliated mental health services, although PQSRN’s will be only allocated to one clinical location
- Fixed Term Part Time positions - Attractive salary and working conditions - Reward & Recognition Programs
- Maximum of 8 Supernumerary shifts
- Maximum of 30 shifts per 6 month period

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Nursing Workforce and Skills Development Unit provides entry level nurse training pathways for Royal Melbourne Hospital and operates in partnership with Northern Health and Western Health. We are seeking expressions of interest from undergraduate nurses in a Bachelor of Nursing course who have had their mental health placement with our services as part of their Bachelor of Nursing course and are interested in further building skills and gaining experience in a mental health nursing setting.
Your New Team
The RMH Mental Health Service and partner services provide a comprehensive, integrated range of mental health services to people with a serious mental illness in North-Western Melbourne. A multi-disciplinary workforce provides services through four Area Adult Mental Health Services (Inner West, Mid West, North West and Northern), an Aged Persons’ Mental Health Program and a Youth Mental Health Service – Orygen
About you:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing degree
- Have had a placement in the above clinical settings as an undergraduate in a Bachelor of Nursing Program
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work under direct and indirect supervision (within scope of practice)
