From humble beginnings, Roger Drake purchased his first, 3-isle store in Mitcham, Adelaide in 1974. Nearly 50 years on, Drakes Supermarkets have a portfolio of more than 60 stores across South Australia and Queensland. This makes the Group, Australia's largest independent grocery retailer. Continuing on their journey, Drakes have an opportunity for an experienced Pricing Analyst to join the business in a newly created role. The Pricing Analyst will conduct analysis and provide pricing advice to the business, inline with company direction and gross margin targets. Your role will be integral to allowing Drakes to compete with larger retailers, resulting in better company performance and a positive shopping experience for consumers.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing Shelf Pricing including establish guidance, on-going review and re-evaluation, report exceptions and
  provide recommendations when necessary
• Develop models that assist with revenue and GP growth and shows the potential impact of various pricing
  strategies
• Working with category management team and finance, assist in the development of recommendations around
  promotional pricing to drive sales volume and Gross Profit.
• Establish, implement, and maintain the core range product list across the Drakes store network
• Monitor data integrity and alignment issues between internal systems (particularly item mast data), providing
  support for system upgrades and implementation

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in commerce, statistics, data science or related fields

Essential

• Experience with pricing or revenue analysis
• Attention to detail ad ability to identify data exceptions and patterns
• Financial modelling
• Microsoft Excel to an Advanced level
• Power BI and Power Query experience
• Strong analytical, mathematical and data mining skill set
• SQL experience
• Ability to influence others, build rapport and make positive change
• Pro-active individual and a lateral thinker

• Exposure to Python programming language
• Working in a Retail or FMCG organisation
• Identifying, planning and implementing continuous improvement opportunities such as changes to processes and
  procedures relating to master data.
