Flexcar is in search of a product manager who is obsessed with improving customer experience and building high impact products to empower our Operations team by building the location management system from the grounds up.

What you'll work on:

• Develop a deep understanding of Flexcar operations practices to build the new location management system – in particular location management portal and backend system/services which can enable the internal teams to manage the hub and spoke locations throughout the lifecycle.
• Dive deep to understand the needs of internal and external customers to develop a coherent product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the order management system.
• Work with cross functional team across the organization to create the alignment on the vision, identify dependency and create an iterative launch plan.
• Work with engineering, product design, and other related teams to launch products that increase customers (internal Ops team, internal Care team, Flexcar customers) satisfaction and enable scaling the business while continuing to drive down costs.
• Identify roadblocks or improvements and implement them with the Engineering team, Care team or other partners and proactively solve them to deliver the product on time.
• Act as the head of product for his/her product and evangelize the product internally. Continuously look for internal and external recourses to improve the product throughout its lifecycle.
• Execute on continuous improvement and innovation of processes, technology, and systems in service of customer success and satisfaction.
• Support leadership in evaluating build vs. buy trade-offs to build unique core location management capabilities.

Tasks:

• Analyze users and stakeholders needs, interface with Engineering, UX, field operations team to understand needs and constraints.
• Analyze data using Looker and/or SQL to inform decisions or activities and follow operations health metrics.
• Design solutions with UX and stakeholders and write specifications in order to improve user experience, solve problems and optimize the existing processes.
• Build with engineers the software capabilities to solve the problems identified
• Test and validate products accurately respond to needs.
• Build the change management materials to train users of new systems.
• Interact with other teams to identify roadblocks, work through dependencies.
• Monitor milestones and deliverables.
• Communicate with stakeholders to share roadmap, progress, timelines or risks.
• Recommend organizational process or policy changes.

What drives success for this role:

• Over 3 years of experience in product management.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related Engineering field, or a related field
• Partnered with engineering teams to prioritize backlogs, writing clear user stories that articulate desired customer functionality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
