The primary responsibility for the Production & Inventory Control manager is to lead our Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) as well as scheduled releases of orders to be completed in the factory. This role will also be responsible for inventory accuracy, including the execution of physical inventory and the cycle count program. Coordination and prioritization with internal team members to drive order completion within fiscal cycles with the goal of driving improvements in schedule adherence is included.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate build and supplier forecasts that aligns with the sales order outlook, financial forecast, and production capacity
• Ensure that scheduled releases align with the forecast and lead resolution of issues preventing scheduling per the plan
• Lead efforts to ensure inventory accuracy inclusive of managing the cycle count program, execution of physical inventory and ad hoc inventory adjustments
• Lead problem solving and the implementation of countermeasures for issues impacting inventory accuracy
• Collaborate with production regarding order completion and set priorities based on capacity and material supply
• Communicate and update to internal stakeholders’ issues or needs related to forecast achievement
• Evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the schedule adherence and inventory accuracy
• Lead a small team supporting forecasting, scheduling, and inventory management

Background and Skill

• College Degree
• Experience in materials planning and/or inventory management required
• Project management experience a plus
• Background in production scheduling preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Strong detail orientation and communication/listening skills
• Good data retrieval, analysis and reporting skills
• Programming experience such as SQL and python preferred
• Experience as an ERP super user a plus
