About the role:
We have an exciting role available for a Production Coordinator/Assistant for our vertical business, focusing on our menswear brands: Article One, Weekend Cartel & Henleys. Reporting to the Senior Menswear Designer, your responsibilities will include producing and delivering selected ranges, which meet quality and delivery standards, on time and in full. Work in collaboration with the Designers, Garment Technicians and Production Manager to deliver product that meets specification and allows the group to deliver into customers on time.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Work in partnership with Production Manager to check all FOB’s and ex China dates sent by suppliers are approved and entered correctly into Apparel 21 System.
  • Raise PO’s and Barcodes and send to suppliers.
  • Attend SMS fit session as part of handover process from design to production and send the final fit and design comments to suppliers as part of the process. Follow up to answer supplier questions
  • Measure all PP and Shipment samples. Drive the PP and SS fit sessions and send all comments to suppliers
  • Set up and proactively maintain production schedules for each supplier.
  • Drive critical path internally and externally to help ensure key approval dates are met and deliveries remain on time
  • Following up directly with suppliers to make sure all submissions from lab dips, strike offs, fit and production samples arrive in a timely manner. Turn around all comments within 24 hours to maintain critical path timing
  • Address and communicate any delays or issues with the Production Manager
  • Work in partnership with the Design team through all stages of bulk production including measuring the PP and shipment samples as well as reviewing and commenting on all bulk submissions based on tech packs.
  • Maintain current supplier relationships by ensuring accurate and clear communication with suppliers and fostering win/win relationships
  • Maintain peer relationships internally with the Glue Store team and wider Accent Group umbrella teams.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position
  • Degree in design or related discipline
  • Intermediate excel and word skills
  • Proven experience in negotiating with suppliers
  • MAC software and, ideally, a File Maker and Apparel 21 knowledge a bonus but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to foster strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent problem solving and dcision making skills
  • A love for the Glue brand and culture
