Key accountabilities
- Provide high-level leadership, support and guidance to ensure best practice and fit for purpose methodologies and frameworks across the Program.
- Influence and foster strong strategic relationships with clients, stakeholders and colleagues to support delivery of the program.
- Establish, implement, and monitor methodologies, tools and frameworks to support Program delivery within the Program.
- Champion the necessary frameworks to measure and drive the required business outcomes.
- Make a significant contribution to innovation, changes in workplace practices and business improvement across the Program.
- Represent the PMO and contribute to a range of Whole of Government forums and initiatives.
- Exercise correct financial delegations through the management of the cost centre and ensure that there is adequate cost recovery for the billable resources across the program within delegation guidelines.
- Extensive knowledge and skills in the application of recognised ICT Governance methodologies and principles.
- Extensive knowledge and skills in the application of recognised Project/Portfolio Management methodologies and principles.
- Experience working in a delivery focused position, ideally with your most recent experience as a PMO lead, working across multiple IT & Business or/and operational transformation programs.
- Working understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework which is a set of detailed practices for IT service management.
- Certification in relevant project methodologies i.e. Prince2, PMBOK & Agile.
- Strong background in Project /Program management experience in technology and business.
- Experience working as a Senior or PMO Manager within ICT.
- A related tertiary qualification will be highly regarded.
- A current ACT Government issued Personnel Vetting Program certificate (Baseline clearance equivalent) is required for this position, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
