About the role:
As a Project Engineer in the Non-Routine Construction division you will work alongside a number of other Project Managers and Project Engineers on projects such as the relocation of Trunk, Primary and Secondary steel mains (in metropolitan and country area of NSW, Qld, Vic and the ACT), Refurbishments on Pressure Reducing Stations, including electrical and instrumentation upgrades, spool/ valve replacements or complete station upgrades.
You will have to opportunity to deliver repair, relocation or extension projects on any number of the major transmission pipelines or the gas distribution network within the NSW metropolitan area. Some of the projects are in association with major infrastructure projects. You will be encouraged to share knowledge and learn from others through the delivery of these projects and experiences.
This role is based out of Sydney Metropolitan area, but for the right candidate we may consider remote working.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing Engineering expertise and planning to deliver complex projects through their complete lifecycle
- Stakeholder and sub-contractor engagement, in line with our Project Management Methodology (PMM)
- Assist with SMEs in preparation of project HSEQ requirements
- Prepare plans for projects as required and in accordance with client specifications
- Assist in developing estimates for projects
- Understand the importance of and establish projects to contractual requirements
- Ensure project governance is followed throughout the project lifecycle with a particular focus on site and construction activities
- Highlighting opportunities for continuous improvement within all project phases and generally supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of project delivery
- Lastly you should always be conscious that our stakeholders need to be continually aware of their current project status through effective communication.
About you:- Tertiary qualification in Engineering
- 3+ years’ experience as a Project Engineer
- Experience with civil excavation and regulations on and around live utilities, as well as having an understanding of the TfNSW road access and opening and traffic management requirements.
- Experience in E&I projects or industry would favourable, but not essential.
- Experience in the Gas Industry would be favourable
