Remuneration: Annual salary commencing at $78,024 (level 5) plus superannuation

Role Overview

The Property and Open Spaces Branch has an exciting fixed term opportunity for a motivated and skilled professional to join our team for a fixed period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

This temporary position is required to support the Branch’s 2022 Flood Restoration projects, including the safe re-occupation and use of a number of flood affected community buildings and sport facilities; as well as flood damaged key recreational infrastructure.

The key responsibilities that the role will include are (but are not limited to):

  • Facilitate and coordinate the delivery of the Branch’s 2022 Flood Restoration projects to ensure the safe and effective delivery of the Insurer’s Scope of Works (SoW) including but not limited to SoW review, liaison with the appointed contractor, BA and Plumbing and Drainage approvals, mobilisation and pre-construction and site occupation activities;
  • Coordinate contractor meetings to include schedule reviews, scope delivery and quality management oversight and internal stakeholder management activities, that is liaising with the Coordinator Property and Land Management to produce timely Lessee and/or User and Community communications.
  • Coordinate the post construction activities including but not limited to accepting the completed project works, management of the contractor’s technical and compliance documentation such as Certificates of Compliance, warranty and guarantee information.
  • Liaise with the Property and Open Space team members, appointed contractors and where applicable provide information for reporting to State Government agencies that effectively communicates the progress towards the safe delivery of the restoration projects.
  • Provide reports to the Manager Property and Open Space as well as the State (as applicable) regarding delivery of individual projects.

What we are looking for

To be successful in this role, applicants should have:

  • Relevant qualification and/or minimum five years’ experience in facilities/asset management and project delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously or collaboratively by developing effective working relationships with the Property and Facilities officers a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated high level experience in the coordination and delivery of capital projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks at any one time.
  • Proven ability to problem solve at advanced level within organisational context.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
