About the Team


The Greater Sydney Division is redefining integrated transport choices to improve the lives of customers and communities, making Greater Sydney a better place to live, work and play. We have the single biggest place making opportunity at Transport in the coming years, reshaping Greater Sydney into a metropolis of three cities – Eastern Harbour City, Central River City and Western Parklands City - whilst also overseeing the Greater Sydney region as a whole.


This role sits within the Delivery Team in the Strategy and Implementation Branch within Greater Sydney. The Delivery Teamwork across business strategy, planning and business improvement programs to identify and develop programs of work to increase business efficiency and support great customer outcomes.


The Opportunity


Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join us in the Project Delivery team within the Strategy and Implementation branch. The role will see you support the development, delivery and implementation of projects to achieve project outcomes in line with organisational objectives Strategy and Implementation team within Greater Sydney.


The Project Officer contributes towards the following day to day responsibilities:


  • Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans

About You


You are a pro-active Project Officer with research and data analytical, problem-solving skills and the capacity to present information and data in a logical and coherent manner.


The successful candidate will have a high level of project management, business improvement processes and strong stakeholder management experience.

Salary and benefits


The salary for this position is Grade 7A ($106,086) – 7E ($118,816) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
