An exciting opportunity exists for a Quality Manager – Food Services to join our Health Support Services team, working across all Food Services sites but primarily based at the Central Production Kitchen (CPK) in Altona.

The Quality Manager leads and drives food safety and quality practices across the organisation. They manage food safety and HACCP compliance requirements, where applicable, through product validation, regular reporting, audit, testing, maintenance and continuous improvement of the organisation’s control systems and processes. The successful candidate will have a strong leadership background in a similar role and have proven skills to drive process improvement.

Qualification and Experience:

• Managerial experience of QMS / Food Safety Programs (HACCP) in a food manufacturing environment to ensure all compliance are met.
• Tertiary qualification in Food Technology/Food Science or Applied Science, Nutrition (desirable).
• Internal auditing qualification and experience.
• HACCP program development and implementation, including design and implementation of standard operating procedures.
• Up to date knowledge of food standards (FSANZ) and HACCP guidelines; food safety, labelling, allergens, NIPS, etc.
• Advanced MS Office Suite and databases (i.e. Foodworks, Syspro).
• Excellent investigative, technical and analytical skills and ability.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing and staff training.
• Strong organisation skills – ability to work independently and to plan, control, co-ordinate and manage day to day operations efficiently.
• Ability to work in a busy and challenging team environment.
• Enthusiasm and willingness to actively contribute and develop.
• A well-developed customer service ethic and strong commitment to improving service delivery.
