The Role

Reporting to the Risk & Trading Solutions Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and development of optimal strategies in risk management to maximize trading yield (Revenue), productivity (EBITDA) and overall wagering profitability.

The Responsibilities

Main responsibilities in the role, however not limited to:

• Maximising revenue and variable contribution for all TAB Wagering brands

• Drive and design and implementation of more efficient tools to deliver optimal processes within the Risk & Trading departments

• Accountable for the delivery of the strategic roadmap, vision and scope of in-house proprietary automated trading tools

• Responsible for the development of decision rules for risk management systems

• Creation and maintenance of effective price and trading strategies through statistical analysis and predictive modelling

• Ensure all strategic initiatives are mindful of customer impact and maintain uncompromising expectation of performance for the customer

The Person

Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience in bookmaking/trading, leading to an extensive and broad knowledge of sport and racing betting industries. Superior numeracy skills and qualifications in tertiary numerate discipline (preferred) with an understanding of statistical skillset including, but not limited to multivariate calculus, forecasting and data science, linear and logistic regression. Ability to demonstrate practical, hands-on ability to apply mathematical concepts to real world financial problems, to implement theoretical insights. Coding proficiency is preferred, both in modelling tools and in a programming language.
