Part Time Fixed Term Position

Salary Range: $115,743 - $120,506 (Plus Super) Pro Rata

Maternity Educator - co-ordinate Midwifery Education to our 144 Midwifery staff

About the role

To develop, co-ordinate, implement and evaluate clinical education for staff in the Maternity Unit.

Key Responsibilities

To provide leadership and co-ordination of Education within the Maternity unit

Oversee and provide direction and support to other staff in the planning, delivery and evaluation of education programs.

Assess the clinical competency of midwives and nurses, including new graduates midwives.

In consultation with relevant Clinical Nurse/Midwife Consultant, co-ordinate review of maternity clinical policies and procedures.

Computer Literacy.

What you bring

AHPRA Registration

Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting

Recent experience in Education and appropriate additional qualifications eg. Cert IV assessment

Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills

A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
