Norwest Private Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurse/s with Anaesthetics experience, excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established Angiography team and help own the anaetshetics element in the lab.

Norwest Private Hospital is located in the rapidly developing North West corridor of Sydney and is operated by Healthscope, a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia. The hospital has 277 beds and is a high acuity facility with an Emergency Department located in Sydney's Bella Vista.



Our Department

Our Operating Theatre complex has 16 theatres, 32 first stage recovery bays as well as an additional 32 second stage chairs.

Our specialties include General (including laparoscopic), Colorectal, Bariatric, Orthopaedic, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Plastics, Paediatric, Oral & Dental Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmic, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Urology and Vascular surgery



As a Registered Nurse – Anaesthetics (Angiography) your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
  • Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team Surgeons, Anaesthetists, Nurses and Allied Support staff to achieve excellence in patient’s clinical outcomes and hospital experience
  • Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to deliver patient care
  • Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology

Essential Criteria:

  • Current AHPRA Registration with no restriction
  • Authority to Work in Australia
  • Working with Children check
  • Post-graduate qualification in Anaesthetics or working towards (desirable)
  • Relevant experience in Anaesthetics
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Commitment to quality patient care
  • Works independently and within a team
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional computer skills
