About the role

Grampians Health Ballarat boasts nine Residential Aged Care Communities including Jack Lonsdale Lodge, James Thomas Court, Eureka Village Hostel, Geoffrey Cutter Centre, WB Messer, PS Hobson, Hailey House, Talbot Place and Bill Crawford Lodge. The successful applicants will be excellent communicators with a sound understanding/knowledge of ACFI, Aged Care Standards and Quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Caring for a diverse range of residents in varied care settings
  • Participate in the provision of resident focussed, holistic care
  • Plan, implement and evaluate evidence based nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes for our residents
  • Work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager to facilitate and foster best practice standards in nursing care to residents and their families and carers

Qualifications and experience

  • Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold a current Practicing Certificate
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills, commensurate with experience

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory police records check, immunisation clearance and Working with Children check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check.

All employees must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required, which at a minimum is a surgical mask. Additional PPE requirements are role-dependent.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024. The classification for Registered Nurse Grade 2 is YP2 - YP9 which ranges from $33.17 - $46.86 per hour. The classification for Associate Nurse Unit Managers is YW11 – YW12 which ranges from $52.49 - $54.25 per hour.
