About the role:
Do you want to work within a great team culture and make a real difference? We have a role for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our team based in Singleton, in either part time or full time capacity.
Your role will contribute to improving the health and wellbeing of NSW Coal Mine workers' lives through the provision of occupational health surveillance programs, health education and other health initiatives. This includes conducting occupational health assessments, providing drug & alcohol screening, immunisation programs and providing health counselling and advice on a range of occupational health and lifestyle related issues.
Role responsibilities:
- Conduct and record health screening assessments including organising follow up as required both in the office environment and onsite at local mining operations.
- Provide education and advice on potential health issues and liaise with the CS Health Medical Officers for follow up management and referral.
- Conduct drug and alcohol screening (travel to and from site with a valid NSW driver's licence is essential)
- Administer vaccines at the CS Health office and onsite.
- Assist to develop and deliver health education programs on a range of occupational health and lifestyle issues.
- Provide clinical and knowledge support to CS Health leadership and other health care professionals.
To be successful you will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current Audiometry and Spirometry Certificate (desirable, however we offer internal training)
- Current Drug and Alcohol certification (desirable, however we offer internal training)
- Current Immunisation Certification, NSW (highly desirable)
- Excellent clinical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- The ability to organise and prioritise tasks portraying excellent time management skills
- Good computer skills
