About the role

The Level 2 Registered Nurse is responsible for leading the clinical team in the Day Surgery Unit, and providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), the position provides leadership to Level 1 RNs and ENs, and support services staff within the unit.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and support appropriate staffing levels

Ensure best practice and update Nursing care of our patients

Undertake quality activities as directed by NUM

What you bring

Current experience in a similar role is highly desirable.

Minimum of 3-5 years relevant nursing experience

AHPRA Registration with a current practising certificate

Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting

Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills

A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
