About the role

Peninsula Private Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join their supporting Rehab team in a part time capacity (60 hours / fortnight).

The Rehab/Medical division is currently undergoing an exciting transformation in our model of integrated care. We are looking for RNs who are passionate about best practice, patient centred care and enabling people to restore to their best self!

Peninsula Private is a 70 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 3 operating theatres located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthamology and internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.

As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver evidence based nursing care
• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
• Ensure patient and staff safety
• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members to deliver patient care (potentially EN or student nurses)
• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery

Essential Criteria:

• Current Registration with AHPRA (no restrictions)
• 2+ years role experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Desirable criteria:

• Experience in Rehab
• Bachelor of Nursing qualification
• FIM trained
