An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Registered Nurse (Grade 2) to join our Parent Infant Program.

Details of Department

The Parent Infant Program (PIP) is part of Austin Health's Adult Mental Health Service (AMHS). It is based in the Mental Health Precinct on the Austin Health site in Heidelberg and services the Northern, North East and Hume regions of Victoria. PIP has 12 beds (for 6 mothers and 6 infants) and admits parents and their babies (under the age of 12 months).

1.0EFT, part time will also be considered

7 day per week rotating roster, including some night shifts

Post Graduate Qualification in Mental Health Nursing highly desirable

Previous Parent Infant Program experience highly desirable

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:

Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 and other relevant legislation

Ability to work within a dynamic team which works effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
