Nurse Informatics Specialist

Silver Leaf PMS has a contracted opportunity available for a qualified Nurse Informatics Specialist for private psychiatry practices of various sizes. We are seeking a self-motivated, reliable individual with a minimum of 2 or more years of experience building EHR templates.

What You'll Need:

• At least 2 years of experience working previously as a Nurse Informatics Specialist

• Experience building EHR templates is required

• Ability to work independently with little direction

• Must be willing to provide services to multiple providers

• Must have your own equipment!

What You'll Get To Do:

• Serve as a liaison/change-agent between clinicians, information technology, and process improvement professionals to facilitate the adoption of best practices in clinical information systems

• Participate in the evaluation, planning, implementation, training and maintenance of all clinical information systems

• Provide clinical oversight of existing clinical systems with an eye towards improving processes and standardization

• Review clinical protocols and procedures to ensure they are in compliance

• Integration log management and training if applicable

• Coordinate with chief medical officer, risk manager, and others on matters that require a change to existing protocols/procedures

• Manage clinical issues (e.g. logging and resolution) in coordination with Helpdesk Administrator

• Plan and participate in the deployment of new systems or the implementation of changes onto existing systems -conduct technical change management

• Actively participate in the creation of test plans (creating, advising or assisting) as required

• Coach staff on computer literacy, best practices, and regulatory compliance as it relates to electronic documentation
