FANUC America is currently searching for a Product Development Engineer to join our Arc Welding Application Development team. Primary responsibilities will include:

• Design, code, test, document, and maintain Application software in Arc welding, Laser welding, and related applications using FANUC Collaborative / CRX robots as well as standard FANUC robots
• Design, implement, and document arc welding software development for ease of use, with enhanced User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX) in FANUC CRX robots
• Design, implement, and document enhancements to existing Robotics Arc Welding Application software
• Analyze, debug, and provide timely resolution to customer reported problems
• Develop test plan and conduct testing of Arc and Laser Application software, and to evaluate process and robot application motion performance.
• Provide consulting and support to Arc segment, customers, integrators, and FANUC America personnel outside of the development group in Arc welding application software.
• General involvement in long term technical developments involving FANUC Robotics software products.

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related field, Master degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Scientific Software Development with a high-level language (C preferred)
• Knowledge and experience in User Interface / Experience design and programming, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Robotics application process knowledge in Arc, and Laser welding
• Off-line Programming knowledge for software development
• User experience design knowledge and good practice in designing software with ease of use for customer
