About your opportunity
QBE Insurance currently have the opportunity to join the business in the role of Return to Work Specialist within our TMF/IfNSW Workers Compensation space. This role is pivotal to the team’s success, proactively supporting our Return to Work claims philosophy and strategy.
The primary responsibilities for this role are:
  • Actively demonstrate leadership within claims operations team
  • Provide professional and solution focused problem solving within claims team
  • Collaborate with Claims operations teams to improve results in RTW performance and remuneration
  • Effectively drive constructive, ‘can do’ approach within claims team and branch
  • Data hygiene actioning of key data fields to drive performance and remuneration
  • Coaching and mentoring of claims operations to support the measured focus of return to work and data accuracy in key measures
  • Lead the implementation of the claims strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets with respect to return to work and data KPI 5,6,7 and 9
  • Actively contribute to all relevant meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge, and best practice
  • Targets achieved in the RTW outcome measure to achieve maximum remuneration
  • Team performance/achievement of business plan
  • Monitoring compliance to SIRA data reporting requirements
  • Identify drivers for data errors and establish targeted programs to address
  • Develop and conduct training programs for both employers and staff
  • Improvement in RTW outcome measures e.g. WSC, date ceased and date resumed, wages paid
  • Evidence of portfolio monitoring and interventions adopted to improve performance
  • Ongoing attention to strategies that will improve remuneration in the RTW Service standard metrics
Your story so far
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NSW Workers Compensation scheme within claims operations team of 3-5 years
  • Experience with Claims operations teams to improve outcomes
  • Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills, across a range of different experience levels
  • Developed understanding of the RTW strategy of claims, and how to support people at risk of delayed recovery
