Location: Canberra & WFH (Hybrid)
the Risk and Assurance Officer will be required to lead the management of risks, financial accountability, compliance with legislation and policy/procedures, fraud and corruption prevention and better practice of governance as they relate to the project.
The Risk and Assurance Officer will be required to:

the Risk and Assurance Officer will be required to lead the management of risks, financial accountability, compliance with legislation and policy/procedures, fraud and corruption prevention and better practice of governance as they relate to the project.
The Risk and Assurance Officer will be required to:
- Develop and review Cladding specific risk and assurance documentation to assess risk and control measures;
- Coordinate external service providers to provide independent third-party advice;
- Prepare and present audit reports to the MPC Finance and Risk subcommittee in accordance with the MPC Risk Management Procedure;
- Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across Government and external to Government.
- High level understanding of Risk Management principles and practices and experience in implementing this in a business situation as well as demonstrated risk management problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results including the ability to plan, implement, monitor, evaluate project deliverables independently and deliver outputs as part of a team.
- Strong written and oral communications skills, including demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence and prepare a variety of documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in one or more of these areas is desirable: program/project management, risk management; audit and assurance, performance reporting, governance frameworks and policy development, strategic or business planning/reporting, emergency management and business continuity.
