A Day in the Life
Responsible for providing evidence-based, innovative and practical solutions to support the patient journey through a busy tertiary acute hospital, you will work closely with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient-goals. You will be using your excellent organisational and communication skills to manage your day and provide up to date information about your patients to various stakeholders. Your knowledge and skills will continuously improve through the various learning opportunity and clinical expert clinicians in the department.

About Us
Liverpool Occupational Therapy department offers its staff the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical caseloads to service the diversity within the south western Sydney community. These caseloads range from acute, sub-acute and outpatients/community for adults and paediatrics. The department strives to consistently provide high quality and safe care by using evidenced-based assessments and interventions, and conducting high quality improvement projects. Staff are supported through the department’s clinical governance structures including a competency framework and supervision. The dynamic nature of Liverpool Hospital and the department provides passionate, agile and adaptable clinicians an exciting work environment.

How to Apply

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  • Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Evidence of knowledge and commitment to the application of quality improvement and evidence based practice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in providing occupational therapy assessment and intervention in an acute clinical caseloads.
  • Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
