Route Planner - Northlake, IL

The Route Planner is responsible for creating the daily tactical routing and loading plan for the distribution teams. Route Planner is also responsible for providing daily reports to distribution facilities and maintaining the Roadnet Transportation Suite data.
Shift and Schedule:
- Full-time, 2nd shift
- Monday- Friday
- 1:00PM – 10:00PM
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain master file information in Roadnet and Fleetloader.
- Keep customer information and product lists up to date.
- Review previous days route plan and gather adjustments.
- Confirm available trucks and drivers available for daily routes.
- Efficiently Route Daily Orders based upon established business rules.
- Utilize Roadnet to build the daily routes.
- Utilize Fleetloader to build pallets and load trucks efficiently.
- Provide daily reporting required to manage the delivery routes to the branches.
- Must have DOT regulation knowledge.
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- 3 years’ experience with dispatching / routing in a logistics / supply chain management environment preferred
- 2 years’ experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook
- 1 year experience with Roadnet Transportation Suite or similar routing software preferred
- Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
