Our Client
Our customer is a technology company that builds and markets a range of products using sensor technology and data analysis. The current main products are focused on water management and technology in agriculture. Their products provide valuable information to farmers, save labour costs and are environmentally friendly. The products are marketed nationally through leading rural merchandisers and also direct to farmers.

Role
This new role will be responsible for the coordination of industry events and will involve project management, event strategy, content development, partner engagement, sponsorship management, and end-to-end delivery. The position will cover a national footprint with a range of agribusiness and industry events that include Field Days, grower groups, reseller events and industry association events.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate a national calendar of events
  • Research, form relationships and manage relevant event stakeholders to negotiate sponsorship and partnership opportunities
  • Build strong brand recognition in regional areas and drive customer advocacy
  • Manage the event curation, setup and delivery of all events
  • Manage budgets and travel bookings
  • Speak and present on the company’s behalf to customers and media while attending events
  • Sell direct to customers and track leads
  • Responsible for post-implementation reports to track success metrics and ROI of each event
Requirements
  • Passionate about or have experience in agriculture and sales
  • Super organised with very good project management skills
  • Experience in event execution and an end-to-end delivery
  • Strategic knowledge to initiate, and recognise the commercial value of selected events
  • Experience in event content development
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Willingness to travel, enjoy meeting new people and selling
  • Experience in managing and developing budgets
  • Understanding of marketing effectiveness, and financial success with ROI metrics
  • Flexible to travel, work evenings / after-hours / on weekends as required
  • Have a valid driver’s license and lives in close proximity to an airport
Location & Remuneration
Head Office is at St Leonard's in Sydney but due to the significant travel involved in this role, it could be located anywhere in the eastern states within a reasonable distance of an airport. Attractive remuneration will be offered consisting of a salary, superannuation and a significant sales commission (>$25-30k).
