Scrum Master

The Scrum Master participates in the software development of modern software solutions that are second to none in the heat tracing controls industry. The successful candidate is a key member of an Agile Scrum Team. As a Scrum Master you will drive the daily stand-up, identify and remove any blockers to team productivity and drive continuous improvement.
Most importantly this role will support the team and the organization regarding Agile methodology while ensuring product owners achieve their goals. The Scrum Master is a servant leader who enables teams to self-organize, self-manage, and deliver via effective Agile practices.
Role/Requirements:
- Experience as a scrum master & running Agile ceremonies, keeping stakeholders updated with status
- Capabilities must include:
- Definition, importance & role ownership of Ceremonies, Scrum recognized and otherwise. This would encompass, at minimum, Grooming (Refinement), Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Demo & Retrospective.
- Deep understanding of a user story & anatomy therein (Actor, Action Taken, Behavior, Business Value Justification ( i.e. As a .... I want to... So that....), acceptance criteria etc.
- Experience managing requirements in an agile format from discovery through to delivery in an ongoing successful/sustainable model
- Detailed understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and practices
- Thorough understanding of the software development life-cycle Experience in one or more software development roles such as architecture, design, development, test, configuration management or quality assurance.
- Competent in enterprise and agile project management tools.
- Experience in working with business partners, technology teams and customers in defining requirements and running deliveries
- Exceptional listening and communication skills with a strong ability to communicate business problems, alternatives and project strategy to a project team and customer groups
- Must be objective, team-oriented and able to facilitate
- Broad technical knowledge spanning applications, infrastructure, methodologies, and tools
The successful candidate will have and value:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience performing requirements gathering, elaboration, story creation, acceptance validation etc.
- 5+ years in a software development environment
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with agile tools like Jira or equivalent
- Certified Scrum Master
- Strong discovery experience
- Process/Sequence diagramming
- Previous testing or development experience is preferred
