What you'll be doing
Security officers are required to be responsive to requests for assistance from staff, visitors and patients.
Security officers are required to demonstrate NSW Health CORE values at all times and be prepared to work in a cohesive, team environment.
Criteria:
Current NSW Security Licence Class 1A & Current NSW Driver’s Licence with proven driving record.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to respond to challenging situations with empathy and integrity.
Computer literacy and demonstrated experience in completing accurate and complete documentation including entering information into databases.
Demonstrated experience in the use of and understanding of electronic security, CCTV, access control and alarm systems.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior managers, staff, customers and other stakeholders.
Relevant and recent experience as a qualified Security Officer.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.
Please note: To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
