About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Security Operations Engineer to join our Security and Risk team in this full-time permanent role. Reporting to the Security, Operations Manager work to protect the Alinta information and infrastructure assets from Cyber threats.

Duties:

• Assess, review, support and tune the Security Operations Centre
• Develop appropriate supporting processes and reporting for the Security Operations Centre
• Manage vulnerability remediation and provide risk assessment for outstanding vulnerabilities
• Provide security information with respect to known or new vulnerabilities that affect organisational IT and OT assets.
• Participate in Cyber Incident Management events

Skills and experience:

• Moderate period of experience in cybersecurity in a security operational role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing SIEM
• Experience in vulnerability management and scanning solutions
• Working knowledge of network security, antimalware solutions and encryption.
• Demonstrated ability to work on security projects as a team leader or subject matter expert (SME).
