About the role:

Having successfully launched our fourth core fund (https://medium.com/obvious-ventures/obvious-hits-our-prime-with-461m-raise-fd99d539aa4d), we're growing the Obvious Ventures operation in ways that support our portfolio companies, investors, and team members. Based at Obvious' San Francisco office in Jackson Square with a hybrid office/remote schedule, the Senior Accountant will work closely with the CFO and finance team on a range of projects including:

• Portfolio Tracking: Lead the finance team's internal fund reporting system upgrade (experience with Airtable and/or Salesforce is a big plus). Continue to keep the system up to date with developments at the fund and portfolio company level.

• Management Company Accounting: Own processes including expense processing and payables.

• Fund Accounting Oversight: Review fund financial statements, capital calls, distributions, and K-1s prepared by our Fund Administrator.

About you (desired prior experience):

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, and/or similar discipline. CPA preferred but not required.

• ~2 years in public accounting (tax, audit, or tech systems consulting). Venture capital or related investment company experience preferred.

• Working in, and love for, spreadsheets.

• Extraordinary attention to detail (we're stating the Obvious ;-).
