About the role

Mater Procurement & Supply Chain Operations team has an opportunity available for an experienced Senior Administration Officer (Director Support Officer) to support the Director, Procurement & Supply Chain Operations (PSCO). This is a permanent full-time position.

This is a rare opportunity to support an award nominated Procurement Director who promotes flexibility and career development within her teams. You will have the chance to be mentored by the Director, other management staff and Executive Support Officers (EAs) and gain invaluable experience leading towards a career as an Executive Support Officer.

Salary range: $72,052 - $77,828 pa plus super plus generous salary packaging

What you’ll be doing

You will provide high-level business and administrative support to the Director, Procurement and Supply and the broader PCSO management team. Your key duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Provide diary and email management
  • Provide administration support and assistance to the wider PSCO team as required
  • Coordinate timely and accurate information flow, data collation and reporting by the Procurement and Supply Chain Operations Management Team to ensure accurate and timely completion
  • Provide high level meeting support including bookings, attendee lists agenda setting, minute-taking and follow up of relevant actions arising from meetings
  • Support communications within the PCSO team by managing telephone and email enquiries, redirecting as appropriate, including preparing routine or non-technical written responses on behalf of the Director Procurement and Supply
  • Undertake a range of other duties as required by the Director Procurement and Supply

About you

You will have demonstrated experience in business support or office administration at a senior professional level, ideally gained in a large, complex and diverse organisation.

  • Demonstrated experience in diary co-ordination and executive assistance
  • Demonstrated written communication expertise in the preparation of a variety of business administration documentation
  • Prior experience in transformational change settings and exposure to change management
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering process and systems improvement to support greater collaboration and customer-orientated service in the delivery of business and administration support services
  • Knowledge of project management and business improvement processes is desirable
  • Proven advanced IT skills in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
