The Revenue Growth Management (RGM) Capabilities and Promo Optimization Insights team is responsible for developing and implementing key Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO) principles to drive better effectiveness from trade spend in the North American Operating Unit. An effective TPO process assesses historical promotional event performance, aids in the design of new promotions and seeks to maximize return on trade investment and improve capabilities for price package planning and strategic retail strategies.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for the design, deployment, and support of communication vehicles and self-service capabilities supporting the broad adoption of TPO recommendations. This role will be responsible for the creation of visual analytic dashboards & reporting models (Power BI/Tableau, Excel, SQL).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design TPO self-service dashboards and tools within Power BI, Tableau, and other data visualization assets, with specific alignment to driving actionable adoption of TPO Principles throughout the North America Operating Unit.
- High level of data expertise: expected to be proficient in all aspects of data and the TPO strategic data asset (Event Library) including structure, retrieval, custom and standard reporting
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements to analyze/design/build dashboards
- Combine the views of subject matter expert and data engineers/scientists to drive insights to action and align stakeholders around the solution. You will ideally develop a peer-like counsellor relationship to business leaders
- Develop or have deep industry expertise (Consumer Package Goods and/or Food and Beverage). You will be expected to understand current state of analytics more broadly and be able to apply techniques from across industries
- Own maintenance of tools, including refresh activities, user access, defect resolution, and enhancements
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required (i.e. Information Technology, Economics, Data Analytics, Engineering)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 3+ years of development experience in data visualization tools (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience with SQL and knowledge of RDBMS concepts
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services and Databricks
- Proficiency with Alteryx (1+ years of experience)
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Ability to quickly learn and develop business knowledge to provide to a diverse audience including RGM, Sales, and Commercial teams
Base Salary: $95,600 - $119,300
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, are offered.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Experience with a CPG company
- Knowledge of R and/or Python Programming languages
