Job description
Our client is an unlisted public company that is wholly owned by the ACT Government and is responsible for managing critical infrastructure within the Territory.
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis to use your managing skills to provide strategic insights the Senior and Executive Management to assist with decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Development of financial models
- Financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and deliver business performance insights
- Developing of long-term plans and forecasts across the entire financial portfolio
- Monitor and analyse business performance and projections against targets
- Provide options to manage financials risks and opportunities
- Delivery of regulatory reporting
- Review and improve existing process and procedures
- Mentoring junior staff
Functional Financial Systems
- Support the Manager, Financial Planning, Analysis and Systems in provision of functional systems support and advice
- Assist with enhancing, maintaining and governing the management information framework, standards and protocols
- Participate with implementation of financial information systems
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting
- Member of CPA or CAANZ
- Extensive experience in enterprise level financial planning and analysis
- Demonstrated direct experience in optimising the use of financial systems and modelling and reporting tools
- Extensive experience in administration and use of financial information management systems, budgeting/modelling tools (TM1 or equivalent) and business intelligence and data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI or equivalent)
- Experience in business performance and Board reporting and developing KPIs and dashboard reporting
- Experience in financial information management systems implementation, including functional requirements development, user acceptance testing and end user report development
- Experience in mentoring junior staff
