APS6 Sourcing Specialist
HOBAN have a fantastic opportunity for a APS 6 Sourcing Specialist to work for a well-known Federal Government agency, an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing a scheme which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.
The role will engage with stakeholders to understand the Agency's requirements and how these impact on Partner contracts, statement of requirements and sourcing options. It will provide expertise to the development and implementation of plans to ensure quality outputs.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Delivering sourcing projects within the forward sourcing program for the program, including the approach to market documentation and management of the approach to market period.
- Supporting ongoing reviews and improvements to sourcing processes and systems.
- Assisting with implementing continuous improvement activities and adopting best practice sourcing methods.
- Forming evaluation and negotiation teams and processes for establishing Partner contracts at an implementation level.
- Improving and developing statements of requirements, structured negotiation practice and techniques.
- Ensuring compliance and review of contract terms and conditions to align with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Assisting contract management resources with contract variations and extensions for moderate to complex Partner agreements or as part of a program of renewal.
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate governance and compliance through maintaining
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working within a Sourcing or Procurement role within a Government agency (desirable)
- Capacity to work in a busy environment with demonstrated skills in time management, working with competing priorities and ability to prioritise and manage tight deadlines
- Previous experience working within government departments or industries including Health, Disability, Community, NGO's is desired
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information

- Location: Geelong
- Initial 12 month assignment with a possible 12 month extension
- Mon to Fri 37,5/hrs p/w
- Flex to work between 7am-7pm!
- Hybrid work model - 2 days WFH a week
- Ability to grow and develop your experience in the Public Sector
