AWS is looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Solutions Architect, who will be the Subject Matter Expert helping customers leverage the AWS analytics services on to solve their data warehouse needs. You will partner with Generalist SAs, Customer Account Managers, Business Development Representatives and the Service teams to enable customer adoption and revenue attainment. You will develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, labs, and presentations to evangelize design patters and best practices. You will also mentor and train the broader SA population within , teaching them how to integrate the data warehousing stack appropriately into customer architectures.

Key job responsibilities
1. Design customer solutions by working with existing and potential customers to deeply understand their business and technical needs. Develop solutions that make the best use of the cloud platform and analytics services. Collaborate with field sales, training, and support teams to ensure customer success.
2. Exhibit thought leadership through evangelizing services and analytics Solutions that benefit customers. Share best practices through forums such as blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking events.
3. Partner with customer account teams, business development managers and analytics service teams to accelerate customer adoption.
4. Act as technical liaison between customers and the service engineering teams, providing product improvement feedback to developers and accelerating the adoption of new features in customer deployments.
5. Assist solution providers with the definition and implementation of technical and business strategies.
6. Develop and support the internal community of analytics technologists.

About the team
This role is part of the WWSO Analytics team in ANZ. As part of the team, you will work with our customers based out of our Melbourne office. You will focus on customers in Australia and New Zealand, working directly with customers across industry verticals, from large Enterprises to start-ups, across all stages of their cloud journey.
1. Experience in technology/software sales or pre-sales consulting.
2. Graduate degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.
3. Experience designing and operating cloud-based solutions.
4. Solution Architecture certification or relevant expertise.
5. Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer data warehouses to the cloud
6. Experience designing data-lake architectures.
7. Ability to present with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
8. Experience with Linux scripting languages such as Python, Shell or Bash.
9. Company- or regional-level recognition in the Database and/or Data Warehousing field (conference presentations, Meet-Ups, etc).
10. Ability to understand complex application data flows and bridge the gap between technical and business requirements.
