Primary objective

Provide executive level leadership, strategic direction, and advice to ensure the continued delivery of a whole of enterprise

capability, including strategy and services, delivering business system requirements of agencies in the Human Services portfolio

comprising the Department of Health, Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities, Department of Education

and Department of Corporate and Digital Development.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Drive a culture of achievement with a focus on delivery of complex business system solutions for portfolio agencies.

2. Set strategy for the management of resources, authorise planning, development and delivery of business system services

and products.

3. Develop and maintain effective collaborative partnerships and strategic alliances, within government and industry.

4. Provide exceptional strategic advice and performance reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive as required.

5. Ensure compliance with regulations, standards and codes of good practice relating to information and documentation,

records management, information assurance and data protection.

6. Foster an environment within the function that exemplifies DCDD corporate values of professionalism, honesty, respect,

accountability and innovation.

7. Actively and constructively participate as a member of various committees including representing the Northern Territory at

a national level.

8. Lead other related activities as identified to progress NT Government’s digital service delivery to customers.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Demonstrated and contemporary knowledge of enterprise-wide business system trends and innovations at a national and

international level.

2. Demonstrated contemporary experience managing strategic and business planning, change management and project

management in a Business Applications service setting.

3. An effective communicator with high level interpersonal skills and experience providing professional and technical advice.

4. Proven executive management and leadership experience, with a proven ability to develop and deliver contemporary digital

solutions, and experience leading public administration including corporate governance, procurement and decision making

frameworks.

5. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD’s values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful

and innovative.

Desirable

1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, including post-graduate qualifications.

2. Post-graduate qualifications in relevant area e.g. leadership, management, project management
