Job description

The role Reporting to the Director, Water Unit, you will initiate, develop and review clinical policies and procedures that support state-wide operational practices. You will use water-related scientific knowledge and skills to analyse scientific evidence, and apply your expertise and independent judgement, to develop strategies to prevent and or control human exposure to water-related hazards. Additionally, you will apply results of scientific research and environmental health risk assessments to inform population health interventions and health service delivery.
The successful personYou will have high level knowledge, expertise and skills in contemporary water science with the ability to provide advanced environmental health science clinical advice to various stakeholders. You will apply evidence-based principles to complex water science decisions and possess the ability to work under time and resource pressure. Furthermore, you will have high interpersonal and communication skills to successfully liaise with a range of stakeholders.
