SENIOR GAME DESIGNER

POSITION OVERVIEW

REPSONSIBILITIES

Ainsworth is seeking an experienced Sr. Game Designer to help us accelerate into new and innovative game solutions. The Senior Game Designer is responsible for providing design direction, developing mathematical solutions, and statistical models of games to test pay table math models for functionality and compliance to market requirements. The Senior Game Designer is also a role of shared experiences and provides mentorship to entry and mid-level Designers as needed.

Other Duties Include:

• Collaboration with mathematicians, graphic and sound artist, game builders and studio leaders to create games that exceed expectations
• Working with product management and product marketing to understand market trends and develop competitive innovations
• Applying programming principles to create game simulations and calculation programs
• Developing production math for proprietary slot, and traditional math systems for original titles and platform conversions
• Work closely with software development teams to ensure correct implementation of games math and game play mechanics
• Partner with other game designers to provide feedback and direction on game concepts
• Reviewing games frequently in all stages of development with software development, artists and sound to verify the direction and quality of the game
• Working with key stakeholders and other business units to provide details of games, market fit and strategy as well as championing your concept at trade shows and showroom visits

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education / Experience

• College degree in a related field (i.e., Sciences, Math)
• 8-10 years of experience in gaming industry
• Basic Programming skills such as C#, C++ or Python.

• Knowledge of competitive games, customer demographics and game play expectations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements for electronic gaming machines
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements

• Portfolio and History of games shipped
• Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming License.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift

• Las Vegas, NV 89118: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
